Opening Registers Opening a Register Most of the functions in this program requires that a register be open and assigned to the computer. Register opening will not be allowed if the previous business day store closing was not done or incomplete. Use the "Open Register" button from the main menu and follow the screen flow until the following screen appears. Count the currency denominations in the cash drawer and enter results for each currency type in the corresponding field. Variance amounts and status will be automatically calculated and displayed for each type based on the previous business day's "Next Day Open" amounts. Use the "Set Register to Open" button to complete the register opening functions.
