All sales transactions in Resale Connection are associated with a Customer. This is useful from the store's perspective in that most customers may have a Store Credit account, Layaways, Consignments, etc. and makes it easy to manage and track each customer's personal activity. For quick sales or unwanted customer tracking activity, Step 1. From the Resale Connection's Main Menu window, select or touch** the "F2 - Sell Inventory" button with the mouse or press the "F2" key. Enter your employee code and password (case sensitive) on the security login screen. Select or Touch** the "Accept" button with the mouse or press the "Alt" and "A" keys to continue. If this is the first transaction of the day or all registers are in a "Not Open" status, the "F4 - Register Menu" will appear for Step 2 otherwise skip to Step 3.
Step 2. If all the registers in the "Register Menu" browse box are in a "Not Open" status, select or touch** the register to be opened, then select or touch** the "F6 - Open Selected Register". Count all the coin and money denominations in the cash drawer and enter the counts in the appropriate entry fields. (If the new money counts are different from the original amounts, the corresponding variance fields will reflect the differences . Select or Touch** the "Set Register to Open" button, then choose 'Yes' or 'No' to assign the Register if needed. Complete the message prompts and close the "F4 - Register Menu" window.
Step 3. Type in the Vendors' phone number if available to locate incrementally by characters an existing vendor or select the "Insert" button to add a new vendor. You may also select or touch** the "F6 - By Vendor Last Name" and or the "F7 - By License No" tabs to locate the customers by last name, phone or License number sequences. Switching Tabs will automatically re-sequence the customer list and position the cursor for incremental searching. Select or Touch** the "Select" button to get the desired customer when located or newly added.

Step 4. Scan the barcode on the inventory item's price tag or label. If the item is located in the inventory file, the system will process the inventory data to the window and re-position to the item number, ready for the next sale item. If there is no barcode for the item being sold, then the inventory number for the item may be partially or completely entered to continue adding items to the sale session. When the "Tab key" is pressed, completed item numbers will be verified and processed like the scanned items above. Partial or incorrect item numbers will trigger an inventory lookup window from which the desired item's information may be located and accepted into the sale. Continue adding items to the sale as needed until a "Tender type" or other screen option is selected. Sales tax amounts are calculated and the subtotals adjusted with each item added or removed from the transaction.

If you are using the integrated credit card option proceed to step 6.
Step 5. Select the desired Tender type. If Cash is selected, you should enter the actual tender amount. The program will calculate and display the correct "Change" amount for the customer. If "Check" is selected, the totaldue is fed to the tender box. If "Pay by Card/Other" is selected, you will be prompted to select the other type from a sub menu screen. Select the payment type, return to the Sell window and press the "F10-Complete Trans" button.
Step 6. If you are using the Integrated credit card option (X-Charge or PC-Charge), the selection window will reflect the integration fields for swiping the customer's credit card or debit card (X-Charge option only). Credit card information will be submitted via the internet connection and the results are normally received and processed within 5 seconds. Approved cards (CAPTURED) will have the approved amount applied to the transaction. Declined cards (NOT CAPTURED) will return to the Sell window so that another card or payment tender type can be used.
