Common Printing Issues


A. With the automatic printer detection feature in windows, an additional printer driver will be created each time you switch your USB printers around. After you reconnect the printers, if your printer does not print, try the following troubleshoot options.

1. Replace the printer USB cable into the original USB port on the printer. (or)
2. Use the "Local Computer Controls" button in the POS software to reselect the newly created printer driver (copy 1) and remove the old one. You will need to reset the "Open Cash Drawer" if it is a receipt printer. (see receipt printer setup article)

B. If when printing with a thermal label or receipt printer, the paper advances but there is no print, make sure that you are using thermal paper. If you are using thermal paper, then turn the paper roll over in the printer to print on the other side.

C. If your reports are printing to your receipt or tag/label printer, you will need to set your report printer (8.5" x 11.0" paper) to the "default" printer in windows.
