Color Tagging
Store owners that prefers to use color coded inventory tags to manage discounts can now do this easily in Resale Connection. Ignore the rest of this article if you do not wish to use color coded tags for tagging and discounting inventory in your store.Use the Color chart options by selecting the 'Main Menu/Administration/System Setup/Disclaimer/Other' Tab screen shown below.
When color coded discounts is activated, the QDisc options on the POS are not usable!
At the beginning of each desired tagging period (monthly, weekly, etc.), select a color for that period. The "Buy" screen will reflect the active color for the period until changed. Make sure that the colored tags or labels in the barcode printer matches the Tag color indicated on the "Buy" screen.
When a color code becomes eligible for discounting, return to the screen shown above and check on the option to "use color tags discounts at register", Next enter a percentage and check activate discount flag for the desired color. You may activate discounts for multiple colors and percentages concurrently.
Un-check discount flag and remove discount percent amount to deactivate discount processing for the color. Seven(7) different color codes are eligible for use in the system.
