Buy Inventory for Resale
Careful and selective buying and pricing of resale merchandise for your store is a must to help ensure the success of your store. Resale Connection's unique and fast buying process makes this task a powerful and streamlined function for the User.From the Main Menu window, select the
button. If this is your first access of the system for the day, the Open Register screen will display before the process can be continued. If the selected register has already been opened for the day, the Vendor/Customer browse window will appear. Select the desired Vendor from the list or select the Add Insert button to add a new vendor, then select newly added vendor.

When the 'Buy' screen opens, type the first character of the desired Brand to open and search active inventory for a close or exact match. This Search feature will be useful when buying items similar to other previously entered data.
Tab to the brand description field and type the beginning characters for the desired brand. If the desired brand name is found in the system's tables, the cursor will advance to the styles field. If the brand description is not in the system, the 'Brands' update window will open so that the missing brand name can be located or added to the system tables. The subsequent 'Styles', 'Colors' and 'Size' fields functions similar to the 'Brands' selection field.
Next, change the condition field to any of the other 4 conditions if other than the default condition is preferred. Enter a retail price for the item and tab to the cost field. The cost is automatically calculated based on the initial system's "Buy configuration" options, but can be manually adjusted if preferred.
If you do not want to print Tags and Labels at the end of the "Buy", select the Hold Tags checkbox to print later. Check the Web item flag on if you would like to retain a picture of the current item. You will be prompted to use your webcam (attached by a USB connection) to take the pictures of the item. Deselect the tax one checkbox if the item is non-taxable at sales time.
If you are buying multiple quantities of the same item and wish to use the manufacturer's UPC number, check the use UPC# flag to on and then scan the barcode into the next field. You may also add your own unique numeric item number in that field instead of the manufacturer's upc#. Change the quantity if you have more than one of the same item.
Press the F2Key or select the
button to populate the window and cycle the mouse to the top of the screen for the next item.Manufacturer's UPC# and user assigned numeric numbers will add or update one(1) inventory item with the multiple quantities. All other items will have a unique item number generated for each inventory item.
Use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to perform additional functions within the buy process such as 'suspending the transaction', editing or removing items, lookup items on 'the Find.com', 'EBAY' or the 'CPSC' websites, and selection of the payout method before completing the transaction.
Press the
button to finish the transaction and print the tags, labels and receipts.
